My name is Josh Pettus. I am a Network Engineer with 5 years experience. I started as a music major and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Univiersity of Hartford - Hartt School of Music in 2011. In 2016, I received an associate's degree in Network Engineering at the New England Institute of Technology.

12/21/2022 - MuseScore4 Released
With the release comes a new realistic music sample set called MuseSounds. I'm in the process of migrating all of my demos over to the new system so that they may sound a little better. You many notice there are still some minor bugs in MuseSounds that cause not all of the notes to play in very specific situations. Hopefully these issus will get fixed soon.

I finally went down the rabbit hole for website security. Turns out implementing https is only the beginning. For the uninitiated, Mozilla's Observatory is an excellent first start to find basic issues to look out for. This includes setting up a proper CSP header, securing cookies, securing inline JavaScript, ect...

Finally picked up this little side project again and got most things working that I hoped. Still some more ideas for the site, but I'll tackle that later. Now to add some actual content.
